Server Monitoring Services

The uptime of applications and servers are critical factors that define online success. To ensure continued smooth running of your server and application Firstserv offer a range of server monitoring services that notify you immediately in the event of a service failure.

Our server monitoring system proactively monitors your server and applications running upon it. In the event of a failure our system will notify a nominated person via email or SMS text message.

The Standard Monitoring Service is included as standard in all colocation and dedicated server packages. The Enterprise Server Monitoring Service includes automatic fault resolution by Firstserv support technicians; in the event of a service failure our technicians will be notified and will automatically resolve the problem.

Ping Monitoring
Ping Monitoring ensures the server is responding to network requests.
Port Monitoring
Port Monitoring ensures the application or service running on a given IP address and port is running. For example you can set-up monitors to check the following services: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, SSH, POP, SMTP, RTMP, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server and more.
Content Monitoring
Content Monitoring ensures the application content delivery mechanism is working properly and the content has not been altered.

Standard Monitoring allows you to configure one ping monitor. Professional & Enterprise Monitoring packages allow you to configure a combination of 6 ping, port or content monitors.
Automatic Fault Resolution
Automatic Fault Resolution is only available to dedicated server customers. In the event of a service failure Firstserv technicians will be alerted and will automatically resolve the problem as governed by our dedicated server support policy.
