When there is a problem with your website or server, whatever time of day or night, it needs to be fixed as fast as possible. Firstserv offer a range of monitoring and fault resolution services, so that any problems can be identified and resolved quickly.

With our monitoring service you can be sent alerts if something malfunctions, by SMS or email. If you don’t want to be woken in the middle of the night by problems you can use our fault resolution service to ask the Firstserv 24 hour support team to resolve the fault as soon as it is detected.


Firstserv monitoring

Firstserv monitoring checks key parameters of your server or application once every 100 seconds. We can monitor specified ports or services, or server metrics such as CPU and RAM load. You will be notified, by email or SMS, if there is a problem.

A history of this can be viewed via your monitoring control panel.

Transactional monitoring

Firstserv transactional monitoring will monitor more than just a web page. For example, you could use it to monitor your checkout, or your logging in process. With transactional monitoring we can run through multiple steps and notify you if there is a problem.


Fault Resolution

With Firstserv fault resolution one of our 24x7 support team will take action to fix your service if any problems arise. Problems can and do occur at any time, day or night, but you can rest easy, knowing that your application is in good hands. Our support team will restart services, follow specific instructions to get things working again, or carry out required system administration, depending on your need.

Fault Resolution and Human Intervention

Please ask for a quote, as pricing will depend on what you require. As an example, following instructions to restart IIS if it crashes would cost £49 per month. More complicated system administration would be charged on an hourly basis by prior agreement.
